I know Corbyn doesn't have many supporters of this mainly Tory AB, but I think he has got Mrs May on the run here.

If the Royal College of Nurses, the Royal College of Physicians, the BMA , and the Red Cross all say that we have a huge crisis, why won't she do something about the situation ?

She has so far refused to acknowledge that the Red Cross.are correct...is she in denial or is the NHS still safe in Tory hands ?

mikey...NO.....Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and still am.
And that is exactly the problem sqad, whenever anne wants to reform the NHS so it will last and perform inthe 21st Century they are ripped to shreds by people like Micky who thinks pure money is the answer.
Mikey, please answer post at 15.41

YMB...of course it needs a reform....nobody is seriously suggesting that it doesn't ! On that we are united !

But any reform will takes years. What is needed NOW is more funding....after all, words butter no parsnips ( I hope that correct )
Question Author
Thanks Sqad !
Mikey: "TTT....I put to you the same question I have just asked of Sqad ? " - they are all vested interest "opinions" I accept some of their determinations about conditions but these all have an axe to grind and the stock answer from the all is "more dosh", In my opinion money is not the issue. The answer is obvious to anyone who wants to see it. The NHS needs to be reformed and no by that I DO NOT mean privatised but a few private sector principles would not come a miss.
Fine words butter no parsnips Mikey. As mrs Lumsden said to Timothy (Ronne Corbett) in sorry.
No reform does not need to ake years, well full reform will.

But that does not stop the Government from setting up a cross party roadmap to get to the goal. And it must be cross party and none of this nonsense from Mr Corbyn trying to scroer points.

It will mean reducing staff, losts of them; office staff, particularly managers that are paid rediculous sums. That can happen now. Where my wife works in Child mental health the office staff now out number the front line nearly 3:1. Where my daughter works (A Doctor in a hospital) it is not quite so bad but they have numerous managers on massive salaries.

No Danny, I didn't miss that point, But Mrs May rubbished what the Red Cross had to say the day before....that is my point in this debate. She sought to bring shame and ridicule on an organisation that has chosen to speak out, and others have followed.

Convening a meeting of the great and good won't improve matters NOW.
How many other people have to die in our Hospitals before the PM finally grasps the nettle ?
\\\\But any reform will takes years. What is needed NOW is more funding....after all, words butter no parsnips ( I hope that correct )\\

Exactly.......a "sticking plaster" for the present "crisis."
But who is going to pay?
Where will the money go?
How long will that last.

NHS and it's prognosis is in a big mess mikey.
Question Author
Thanks Grumpy....dimly remembered !
We have had no end of sticking plasters. What happened to that big injection from Grondo; it just dissappeared.

For those of you that may have forgotten exactly how Mrs May rubbished the Red Cross ::::::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38586665
Mikey, you’re more in denial than Mrs May is. Money isn’t the answer. The system needs reforming.

//For those of you that may have forgotten exactly how Mrs May rubbished the Red Cross//

Mrs May hasn’t ‘rubbished the Red Cross’. She’s quite rightly said that their terminology in this instance was irresponsible and overblown – but don’t let that stop you spinning.
//The Red Cross....a hot bed of right wingers and Shadowy Health Secretary( name escapes me too). Mother Teresa should call their bluff and immediately divert all off the overseas Humanitarian Aid directly to the hospitals and watch em gulp and wring their hands. No more all expenses trips to foreign parts required to "distribute" it.
15:36 Sat 07th Jan 2017//

Mikey keeps on flagging up the Red Cross(careful there not PC anymore in certain company....crusades and all that). Now he ran a thread regarding the vewy wed & cwoss "organisation" last week, but never responded to my above suggestion.
Question Author
Togo....your take on the Red Cross shows breathtaking ignorance.

But what about the Royal College of Nursing, the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Radiologists and the BMA it self....so they are all lying as well ?

In other words, is there anybody that says that the NHS and Social care is in a crisis that you WILL believe ?
No one is denying the NHS has problems – it’s had problems for years - but then again, Mikey, you said only last week, I think, that your GP was sending you for x-rays. You had those x-rays today so waited very little time. Not bad, would you agree? Hardly a ‘crisis’ there.
//But what about the Royal College of Nursing, the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Radiologists and the BMA it self....so they are all lying as well ? //

Remember the boast about "weaponising" the NHS? Layboor boast in fact. Well that threat had limited success, just like the old flintlock guns that were more deadly for the user the would be victim, every time the bereft left use the crude device, it blows up in their faces. Mikey again beats a drum with a slack skin. No thoughts on Corbyn's latest economic master plan note, you know the one, a philosophy that could have been written by a spotty teenager on the bog wall. Still no comment on removing the Humanitarian Aid from any Wed & Cwoss influence and handing it over to say....... the care of the elderly in U.K. organisations.
Question Author
Togo....can't really understand a word of all that waffle I'm afraid !

But you don't appear to have answer to why all those organisations are saying that we are in crisis. So you either agree with them or you don't.

Personally, my money is on the medicos, rather than the politicians.
//Togo....can't really understand a word of all that waffle I'm afraid ! //

Of course you don't Mikey. That is the crux really it not? Either you refuse to understand (when it suits) or you have settled into a lazy way of analysing real problems by wearing blinkers for convenience.
