Typical Express !
They do a headline like this at least twice a year!
I think we may survive....I live in Scotland. It's normal here
Many things are normal in Scotland that scare the rest of us, mazie ...

... just look at the square sausage for a start.

SDx
When the Express has nothing new about McCann or Princess Diana they fall back on the giant snow drift story.
I guess one year it's bound to be right
LOL Dave, you are not wrong....I hate that bit of squareness. Give me a give fat round sausage any day!
Did you really mean to say that, Mazie?
We have a tendency to survive. I'm OK for candles, but (due to move) have fallen short on other things which used to be standard, I'm afraid. Gas camping stove and bottle is now on tomorrow's 'to do' list as well as a gas Hurricane lamp. No problems - we'll live. I'll buy lots of spuds tomorrow.
Let's see if this prediction is right next week.
My guess is that it will be wrong.
Accuweather think it's going to be up to 10 degrees next week, but perhaps they are inaccu and the Express is right, who knows.
I always like to look up Jeremy Corbyn potty, climate change denier, brother Piers Corbyn's weather prediction service, at times like these.

Piers Corbyn is predicting a 'snowpocalyse'. We will have to see.

Apologies, that is an old
Ink.
I think she meant an edible sausage JD, not a gentleman sausage ...hang on a minute, 'edible' ..erm.
Its January....what do we all expect.....a heat wave ?
The media can always be relied on to tap into the nation's obsession with the weather.

As advised, every year, the Express trots out its apocalyptic warning about snow as though it's an erupting volcano.

One thing is assured - if and when it does snow, the TV stations will have some poor sap standing out in it in a North Face coat and a scarf telling me that it's snowing. And equally predictably, I will shriek at the TV - "I was around in 1962, I know what snow looks like!!!!"

It's quite comforting in a way ...
Have I time to make our tea TTT?
What a load of old twaddle, they forecast these arctic conditions for the winter and heat waves for the summer, rarely are they anywhere near the mark. Its just nonsense, they can barely tell us what the weather will do tomorrow let alone in a week or mores time!
Quoi - it is such a Pavlovian response with me, that I type out the same response each year, almost verbatim, without even thinking about it!

Quite scary!!
