the give away ( ha!) is that they fed the dog meat
and it followed them for evermore ....
The poor dog is going to think she has been abandoned for a second time when the guy flies back to the UK. Let`s hope the Chinese don`t lose her again.

yeah didnt the marx brothers make a tear jerking film
called Dog soup ?
Question Author
Please Peter, don't !
Lovely story Mikey, thanks :-)
That is a great story, thanks mikey.
I had read the story about the other dog before and loved the ending. Lovely dog.

This little one might get a bit stressed out in quarantine but, hopefully, he will sail through it and get to his new home.

Great story really moves you doesn't it?
Now let's be serious for a minute,
Are there not enough stray dogs that need rehoming in the UK already
without importing them from China?
Sometimes you just format an unbreakable bond, Motley. I have a rescue dog from Spain.
Question Author
Motley....why the sour note ?
Exactly as I said Mikey //Are there not enough stray dogs that need rehoming in the UK already without importing them from China?//
Not sour, just questioning the need to import more.
Question Author
Motley...everybody else on this thread has managed to understand the special bond that built up between the runner and the dog, and I am not sure why you can't.

After all, he didn't go to China specifically to find a dog and bring it home....it just happened that way.

A good news story.
Bloody Chinese stray dogs coming over here taking new homes from British stray dogs ...
