I suppose that if you are going to put yourself about you might not know where the Hon Cynthia Trumpmore-Smythe has been putting herself before.!! :-)
You leave Cynthia out of it ! She's a lady.
Why Is It A "good Idea" To Have An H I V Test?
Because you might infect someone if you do not know.

If you got the disease from one of the 11,000 who do not know they have it, you might be a tad disappointed.

Virtue Signalling, so best ignored imo!
If you are sexually active, it is very much a good idea and of course making it high profile adds to the the publicity.

There should be no stigma to any such test.
Will there be a wrist band?
You may get a sticker Douglas.
And a warm glow no doubt.
Well to know one doesn't have a potentially life shortening virus may well bring that about.

But one could just ignore it I guess too, personal choice.

Douglas, you can. hopefully, fix that with Antibiotics.
If one has behaved as I have and has seen as many summers there's no need.
Unless you CAN catch it from dirty lavvies.
If you feel a warm glow douglas you really need to go for that test !
“If you are sexually active, it is very much a good idea and of course making it high profile adds to the the publicity”.

No. If you are sexually active and in a monogamous long term relationship, then it’s an insulting suggestion.

AIDS is mostly a preventable disease nowadays.
You want to share bodily fluids with someone you don’t know enough about to do so safely, or share a used syringe then it’s your look out.

Harry should stick to helping the people like his wounded soldiers, who’s medical predicaments are no fault of their own.
So is Prince Harry telling us he's had unprotected sex?

"There should be no stigma to any such test." - perhaps but there are other considerations, just having the test excludes you from many life assurance products for example.
I should have thought it doesn't need saying that this test is not for people who are in a long term monogamous relationship - that's common sense.

For those who have a more varied and active sex life with more than one partner then I would say it was essential, unless they are really carefree in what happens both to them and their partners.
I can't imagine that the HIV test gave Harry any problems at all...after all, he must be used to having his sex life discussed all over the world.
I realise the implications and that is worrying - if that fact stops people choosing to have the test then it's sad.

As stated, it is down to the individual to decide.
Prince Harry is internationally known........this HIV-test will be seen in areas of the world where there *is* stigma over the disease and getting tested for it.

Once more he is to be applauded....

His Dad did, wh........................
