/// Good Lord!!! You and your ilk put down our young but you seem to forget that you were young once. ///

Read my headline again, I never put down our young, only a certain section of them.

/// Didn't you defend this country because you were conscripted? Not out of choice? ///

Then perhaps we should reintroduce conscription?
No, perhaps not!

I have just heard one o f these protesters interviewed as to why she voted to remain."because I enjoy holidaying in Europe". That says it all.
I'm sure I read on the BBC site yesterday that although a majority of under 49 year olds voter to stay, their voting turnout was low. But I can't find it.
what a disgraceful show..wee brats !
But she's just one person. My son is only 17 and very very passionate and knowledgeable about politics.
and he probably knows how to behave without resorting to that UMMMM..
I haven't read anything suggesting there was any violence. Just a protest.
perhaps not but not very pretty is it ? and from what I gather your kids are well brought up and are respectful with morals and standards of how to behave
Anyone reading this would think raucous protests have never been made by anyone over the age of 25.
indeed not ..but OP asked about the Youth/young
..and I speak as one who aged 26 was arrested for protesting at a fox hunt ! lol...
Did indeed and of course as the heading says these are not representative.

Of the young I know and have spoken to they feel crestfallen and disappointed but resigned to the fact that the deed is done and that's all they can do - accept it.

Not one has mentioned any need to march on any Government office to voice their displeasure.
Wish my son will accept it. He's driving me mad :-D
Ummmm..have space in my shed..there IS wifi ! lol
Well to be fair, they aren't in the room with me - I can imagine though Ummmm.
Who says they are 'lefties'?
They are very disappointed young people from all sides of the political spectrum. They have a democratic right to protest and tell the rest of us just how bitterly disappointed they are.....

in a more orderly fashion perhaps !
Protests are very rarely completely orderly.
