I reckon this lastest scare tactic could backfire.

It is the you who mainly want to stay and it is the young who cannot afford to get on the property ladder so surely an 18% drop would benefit them?

And surely the only way prices wold drop that much is becuase demand drops due to drastically cut immigration from the EU.

So bonuses all round.

I think that it is a nonsense argument. We still have too many people here regardless whether we are in or free, so accommodation remains at premium prices both selling and renting; because that's what the market does.
Well, if house prices will fall if we leave the EU, than that can only be a good things can't it ?

Because if they fall, it will allow 100,000's of people the opportunity of getting on the first rung of the property ladder. Houses prices are far too high in Britain.
Not so long ago, the Treasury, Bank of England, Moonies, every business organisation and Osborne (or Onesborn) himself were screeching that house prices and property values were rising out of control and threatening to overheat the economy and threatened the recovery. Now they "warn" that the Outers are going to achieve just that. Liars all, disingenuous doesn't start to cover it. I do expect that the Out campaign can point out that lower house prices = lower rent, better access to the house market for first time buyers, easier mortgage qualification because less is required to borrow, etc etc. The only people who need fear lower house prices are the parasite rapacious property developers. Good news all round then Onesborn!
"parasite rapacious property developers"...............Togo, I wish I had said that !
I think Gideon is advocating Stay. He doesn't want house prices to drop because he's already got a house. Never mind people who are struggling to buy one for the first time, or even rent one.
I'm in the stay camp as well, but I hate his reasons for this.
Another group that wouldn't be keen are older folk hoping to trade down to a smaller place and get some cash to help out with their finances whilst on a pension. They'd find the difference between the selling price of the larger place and the buying price of the small place was not as great as hoped for.
Even 'leave' are saying house prices will drop, but they are emphasizing the potential benefit to first time buyers, details in my link^
Of course not. If something seems persuasive all will repeat it.
I want house prices to drop, so that my son might have a chance of buying one some time, but I don't think leaving the EU is going to help. The people driving up property prices aren't the poor immigrants, but it's rich Arabs, Russians etc. who will use their clout to get houses here, pay ridiculous amounts and keep the prices high.
"Fitch says that "house prices are currently up to 25 per cent above 'sustainable' levels in relation to disposable income""

If he truly believes that then any fall is on the cards anyway and not specifically related to being out or in.

""Homeowners in London could lose as much as £7,500, while homes elsewhere in the UK could lose £2,300," notes the BBC."

"Could" is an interesting word, it implies an assumption that is far from proven. But even if it is accepted as the basis of discussion, £2k in £300k (⅔%) is in the noise level of price changes.
Nothing but obfuscation. Is Onesborn promising that house price levels will not drop if we are daft enough to play turkey voting for Christmas?
This should help.
