/// AOG, would you ask the same question if this was a 'Peaceful Silent March' to call for the introduction of Sharia law to the UK ?
You have to be fair to both sides in any debate. ///
Yes because that would be rebellious talk, and one for the authorities to take on board, since there is only one law in this country and that is English Law, and this happens to be England.

Surely marching to support a request for a change in the law cannot be seen as 'rebellious'?
Without such an activity, women would still not be able to vote!

// [Tommy Robinson] brought it [grooming] to the attention of the authorities. To my mind that does make him the hero of that particular hour. //
Absolute rubbish. Tommy Robinson did not instigate any lines of inquiry in relation to Asian grooming gangs. In every instance, the police were already on the case, and in most cases crown court trials were underway. Tommy Robinson and the EDL exploited these cases, usually in a very unsympathetic way by bringing his motley crew of aged football hooligans right into the communities that were suffering.

Svejk - //Nick Griffin certainly tried to 'shine a light' on muslim grooming gangs 15 years ago. He was ridiculed and arrested. //
In the case of Nick Griffin, he would latch onto anything he could that paints any foreigners in a bad light.
If he could have found a group of Koreans eating cats, he'd have used that.
Don't ever make the mistake of thinking that people like Nick Griffin - or 'Tommy Robinson' are acting out of a benevolent need to protect anyone - they are horrible nasty bigoted racists who love stirring up agitation and attracting attention - preferably to themselves.

PiedPiper - //So Andy seems to have no objection to a change to Sharia law and anyone opposing the idea is a nasty bigoted racist. //
Deighted to see that your Assumer is working at full throttle today!!
You have proved my oft stated point - that if someone starts a post with 'So ...' it means that they are going to show that not only have they entirely missed the point being made, but they are going to advertise further misunderstanding by shoehorning in a point that has not been made.
I have not mentioned Sharia Law in my post - if you wish to bring it up then please go ahead - but not as a response to a point I have not made.
