Saturday.

Dry, but blowing an 'ooligan out there. I'm going to Yate this morning. Only about half an hour away.

Always good.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning waterman, what's happening in Yate this morning?
Question Author
Morning Lina xxx Nothing much, I'm going to have lunch with friends.
How are you this morning?
Oh very nice. I'm fine, I got up early thinking I'd clean round, haven't done a thing yet but played music! I need to do a few things today, need to go to the post office, florist .... & a walk out with my brother this afternoon. I'm surrounded by piles of cards, haven't even delivered the neighbours yet. Christmas throws me, I'm not good with extra things to do on top of my usual routine. My outlook is, you'll get it when you get it lol.

Nothing wrong with that Lina. I'm fed up with the hypocrisy and greed of it.

It's just another day to me.
hello all.

don't know what's going on but I have just had to sign in twice before I could say hello.

hope all is well.

yate. is this starting Christmas early?
morning elina morning boaty.
Question Author
Morning LJ xxx I had that on my email account, had to sign in twice.

Not really, just going for lunch.

How are you this morning? :o}
I must admit we're bombarded with food & clothes commercials ... and there's people still sleeping rough on our streets ... but I don't know the answer to the latter .. that's a many sided problem of drugs & alcohol. So there's a magical side & a dark side to Christmas. I tend to think about how alcohol especially at Christmas brings violence in to the home of many, I'm especially thinking of the younger ones who witness it.
Morning lady x
i'm fine thanks boaty. felt tired after shopping yesterday. didn't feel like doing much in the afternoon. i'm sure this weather has something to do with it. so heavy and oppressive.

I actually don't buy any extra in really, I certainly don't buy mountains of anything out of the ordinary. I will buy extra in for new years day when I do a meal for the family. My daughter used to endure two Christmas meals! .. one at ours & one at her husbands parents & I said look ... don't be rushing from here to there ... so now they go 'there' Christmas day & to ours new years day.

You're right Lina. The money saved by getting out of Europe will go a long way to rectifying many problems. For instance, we could build a new state of the art hospital every week. All the unoccupied houses could be brought into use, hostels for the homeless could be built. But not all the homeless are druggies and alcoholics, some are ex service men and women that had no help when they left the forces. That, to me, is not acceptable.
G'morning all, have strained muscles & painful back from fffffing heads. Hands are agony from hair drying, legs cramped from standing hours. Another 5 days solid work - if I survive :(

Good plan Lina. I like it! :o}
Morning all.

Feels rather funny saying that at this time of day ;-)

Trust all are well.

Morning tam xxx Oh dear, It sounds like you should be confined to bed a spoiled. :o}
Question Author
Afternoon oz. same here mate! Saying good afternoon at 5 AM. :o}

All well here mate.
Yes waterman, I don't pretend I know much about those things. Manchester council have taken that idea of using vacant buildings already. Just recently here a whole street of houses was renovated for ex service men, that was fantastic!
Morning tamborine, how have you done that?
