Went out shopping with the missus earlier and went to the Card Factory to get a birthday card .... was amazed to see Xmas cards out on the shelf already ... it's just over 4 months away.

When do you think is too early and when is acceptable ??

I personally think it's waaaay too early ..... it's still summer isn't it ....... although that might be a different debate .......

It gets better - I've just been informed that the Card Factory have had the Xmas cards out since July .... it'll get to the point where they just leave them on the shelf all year round .....
Everyone is different - I buy through the year , that way I can eke my budget out.

I buy mainly online and the Christmas department is fully stocked the whole time.

It is much too early!! I for one am not thinking about Xmas. The other day the QVC channel had Xmas decorations!! I ask ya.
I am sorry Giz - since I don't like Xmas - it is neither too early or too late. Wish it was on the 12th of Never.
waste of money - that when a person doesn't like a thing - it is then recycled onto the next one.
The last post for Uranus is next week !
I've seen them in the charity shops since July.
Bad time to tell you i've already bought 3 presents then?
Ah B00 - you shouldn't have - I'm quite touched ...
I know! And this time, ive supplied batteries for you too ;-)
I don't mind anyone not liking it,but some like me love it.

I buy gifts that I know will be well received (do my research) and love the children's faces.

Oooh and the lights, can't have enough lights.
Passes me by since I stopped sending cards a few years ago. I like the day but the build up leaves me cold. I glad some enjoy it though.
Lots of folks have stopped sending cards. I receive less and less each Xmas now.
Really clever people will have bought their cards in January this year, for half price !

( but I forgot ! )
Ruddy 'eck, Gizmonster! You mean that you've not bought all your Christmas cards yet? Card Factory started selling them on 26 July!

Those cards I do still receive just sit in a pile till Boxing Day then get put on th bin. I wish everyone would stop sending me the blooming things.
Ethan, why don't you tell the senders you do not want them?
Save them some money.
I've told them most, some people just insist on sending them.

I can understand people buying presents throughout the year, to spread the cost; but the cost of cards won't be that much, in comparison .... just seems to early, in my opinion, to see Xmas cards out on the shelf .....
Calculate what you would spend on cards and postage then donate this amount to your favourite charity. Our family have been doing this for some years although I do send special cards to my grandbairns.
