Quite right Bouncer !

Update ::: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-33770021

Now three Police forces are investigating Heath, including the Met's "Operation Midland"

Labour MP Tom Watson said he had referred two allegations of child sexual abuse by Sir Edward to the police since 2012.

He said: "I passed them both to the police, who have confirmed to me that at least one of those allegations is being investigated and taken seriously."

Calling ABers Trolls again....o' dear!

Gromit...you said yesterday Heath was connected with the goings-on associated with Haut de la Garenne abuse scandal on Jersey.

Seems you don't have to "back that up" now after all !

From the latest BBC link :::

"Separately, the States of Jersey Police has confirmed Sir Edward forms part of Operation Whistle - its investigation into historical allegations of abuse in Jersey"
13 people of public prominence! (presumably not Jimmy Savile/Rolf Harris/Cyril Smith else it would say)

http://www.jersey.police.uk/news-appeals/2015/june/operation-whistle/

a fourth force is investigating him now. All so very late.
jno - //Boy George used to claim to be asexual - something about preferring to have a cup of tea.

This turned out to be inaccurate. //

George only said that for the benefit of the readers of pre-teen magazines like Smash Hits - he never pretended not to be gay.
a fourth force is investigating him now. All so very late.

Late yes...but it all needs to come out.
I believe it was to Russell Harty on TV, andy-hughes. Who it was aimed at I couldn't say; nonetheless, Harty asked him if he liked sex and BG gave the cup of tea reply, hence my post.

A lot of chickens are now coming home to roost it would seem. What a great pity it is that this is turning into an investigation into the Dead Perverts Society...why weren't these people investigated properly, when they were alive ?
Agree with divebuddy and Methyl.
Mikey, these are allegations not formal accusations. I find it quite chilling that you appear to relish the prospect of guilt in these cases.
I find it hard to believe. But then, I said the same regarding Rolf Harris.
// .why weren't these people investigated properly, when they were alive ? //

perhaps they were - - they are all dead now - note

and it all costs so much ... at least with Jimmy S there is a possibiiilty of a go at his estate not that I am saying that would make up for years of disgraceful abuse ( but it might at least help )
The news said that the police were looking for "potential" victims to come forward. People are either victims of a crime or not; there can't be potential victims in historic cases.
I understand that these need to be investigated, but not to the detriment of investigating real people for paedophilia and crimes which are going on now.

Edward Heath seemed to be quite a hero in his native Broadstairs, better than Mrs T in Grantham for example. But things change.

Cloverjo,

They are potential victims because their stories have to be investigated. Anyone could claim to be a victim and not be. Those have to be sithed out before the potential victims can be changed to possible victims.

As this will never be tested in a Court due to Heath being dead, I doubt we will ever find out the true tally.

I am just glad that he is being investigated properly now. We have seen far too much "string pulling" in the past when important people have been suspected of child abuse. The worse example I can think of was Cyril Smith.

I don't know if Heath was guilty of not, but we are not going to find out by burying our heads in the sand. He needs to investigated, just like any other person would be.

The Police and the various authorities have made countless mistakes in the past when it comes to famous people, and I am with Tom Watson here....there needs to be national enquiry into why the Police have failed to investigate properly. There is ample evidence that cover-ups have happened in the past.

It now transpired that my original post of Monday was correct...Heath was and is being investigated, rather too late perhaps.
//They are potential victims because their stories have to be investigated. //

But it appears that no 'victims' complained until the police asked for people to come forward. It's a strange situation when, because an allegation has been made by someone who wasn't a 'victim', in order to build a case where there is no evidence the authorities invite people to complain.
