Further to the letter to the Telegraph a few weeks ago from the leaders of many of the UK's biggest firms, many small businesses have also endorsed the Conservatives.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/david-cameron/11564460/Boost-for-David-Cameron-as-5000-small-firms-back-Conservatives.html

Given the UK's businesses are the main employers and the wealth creators, surely they should be listened to, shouldn't they?

Let's not forget it was the last Labour government who strangled small businesses with their ridiculous amounts of pointless red tape. I guess it gave them something to do in between selling off the gold, bankrupting the country and producing bogus dossiers on weapons of mass destruction

Ah, be fair Jim, he's so predictable he doesn't need to contribute, we could do the debate without him, know exactly what's coming at any given time!
I will do my best 1ozzy !

And thanks for your support Jim !
Just wondering if "Claire Voyant" could be a good AB handle;-)
Mrs O...I welcome your contributions but what on earth has "producing bogus dossiers on weapons of mass destruction" got to do with this debate about businesses and the Tory Party ?
Mikey, the reply I gave to which you refer is self explanatory
Mrs O...yes, I can see that a part of your answer addressed the thread, but I don't agree with you. But I hope we can still continue to debate !
Would you like some corn chips and dip as well Mrs O.
Maybe some salted nuts.
Could be some amusement happening.
People are capable of surprising you, Baldric. At the very least, it's better to wait until they've spoken before deciding one way or the other.
mikey, debating is fine. I always respect the opinions of those on the wrong side of the fence ;-)

oz, that would be grand. Salted cashews please...and any dip apart from blue cheese. I'll put some more tinnies in the cooler
"I hope I don't fall into the category of "usual suspects"

anybody that doesnt hold his views and refuses to kowtow to his opinions does...but i have a feeling you already know this..
Don't worry about the tinnies Mrs.O. Got heaps, chilled as well.
Blue cheese, nah, not on the menu here.
Pistachios, macadamias and Brazil nuts to go with the cashews, all salted of course.
Put your feet up and enjoy.

My apologies for getting "off topic".
Cheers oz.
Did you say 'put your feet up?' Thanks...a foot rub would be great
I can massage Mrs.O.
Hope your not expecting the "happy ending" sort of thing ;-)

///capable of surprising you, Baldric.///

No, don't think so, these are just recycled posts from a limited repertoire.
oz....anything from the ankle up is out of bounds
I haven't tried to follow the 5 steps outlined here suggesting the letter originated in Conservative campaign headquarters -CCHQ- but maybe someone more computer literate than me can...

BTW sorry for going off topic....but it was that oz that started it
"No, don't think so, these are just recycled posts from a limited repertoire."
Same thing happens in "religion" Balders.

At least your feet will be happy Mrs. O.

Once again I'll apologise for committing the crime of "thread hijack".
Have a great day all.
Bye
Yeah right Mrs. O.
Blame me,,,'twas you that done it ;-)
