/// He has adopted the child so he IS the legal father ///

Makes one wonder how it was so easy for a single gay male to adopt a child?
It was only allowed because legally he is the child's brother.
Isn't this incest?

No, because incest is sexual activity between two people who are related in certain degrees. No sexual activity took place.

CONFUSED???????? Well I am now, but that does not matter, but it does for the child, he has to work this one out for the rest of his life.
It would have helped to have been targeted in on the actual item rather than the morass of the swamp called the Mail. The article on Hampton Court is interesting though - this item is a bore and no is the answer.
lol SeaJayPea, I am getting incestuous Top Gear stories too.
If necessary and if I was able, I'd do it for either of my kids in a heartbeat.
ANOTHEOLDGIT if you knew that the woman who gave birth was also the mother of the sperm donor, why are you confused about the wee one and the donor being brothers? Are you being t.i.c. again?

Had his mother supplied the egg then I would have said it was incest. The whole point of declaring incest as wrong is to avoid the combination of genes from folk who are close on their family tree, and the potential health issues that are risked by that. Regardless of how it was accomplished, that would have been what occurred. (It would be looking for loopholes to claim it is not because physical intercourse did not occur. The raison d'etre for the labelling this as wrong, has been ignored.) However as the mother only offered her womb as incubator then it is outside of any reasonable definition of incest.
About as confusing as it is for anyone not brought up by bothI of their biological patents eg remarried couples, war widows, grandparent s
Ie not confusing at all
