Would the tub of lard that famously stood in for Hattersley on 'Have I got news for you', be available?

How about you AOG. You could appear with 100 copies of the Daily Mail as your aides memoire.

Cleggie has already offered to take dave's place...he did so live on Radio 4 on Thursday. But, as I said yesterday, I can't see this working as he will have to keep running between dave's podium, and his own !
Hey what about a video - of Ian Paisley doing a strip tease ?

( you know he made his wife wear white orange and green knickers, because he like taking down the tricolour at night /)
Question Author
Could he wear something like this? In an adult size, of course.

I think the 'autopilot' from Airplane would make a fairly good substitute.

In fact, the likeness is pretty much on the nail...
^Shirley not? :o)
I hadn't realised a political debate was a comedy show. Always seemed to have more tragedy.
Question Author
Look, how many times have I asked you not to be calling me Shirley?
I remember that inflatable pilot was prone to wind. Would a plump, flatulent, dummy really be the best stand in for Dave?
Plump, flatulent dummy ....Eric Pickles perhaps Sandy ?
no, but Gideon's had a makeover...
Question Author
Would you refresh my memory, Humber? Gideon?
Perhaps a bottle, seeing that he has the 'bottle' to stand up to the media and other's demands.
Question Author
AOG, is it some part of a fiendish left-wing plot, this inviting of a politician to appear in a televised debate?
Why won't he debate? He's the prime minister!
I think a big glazed ham would be a good substitute.
We could nominate an AB-er to take part instead :-)

For saying that you support a party which hypercritically place themselves on the side of those who are against offensive remarks, you certainly know how to pick your words.

during the hustings the gloves are off
a white feather ?

No but it is to try and gain political points out of the fact that Mr Cameron is only prepared to join in one joint debate.

Who do you suggest boxtops, because it will be hard to find such a person on such a left-wing site as this.
