Oh dear. But he is adamant he is not a racist. He used to be a police officer, so it must be true.
Unfortunate that it is the bad apples who get the most publcity. He has let his colleagues down, and every other serving police officer down by his loutish behaviour, do you agree?

He seems to work for one of those NGO's so beloved of the left,,,,,,,,,,,now.

Leave it up. Maybe that nice lady who alters my headlines could alter this one to 'is a lefty activist'.
Question Author
Divebuddy,

It is not a duplication. The other thread was about the racist incident.
This thread is about the development that the main protagonist is an ex-Police Officer. It's a different question.
Who decided he was the main protagonist?
Don't tell him he's slipped up again. He'll just remove it like his other embarrassing posts.
Who decided he was the main protagonist?

He is the bloke that pushed the man of the train. I think that makes him the main protagonist.
He's just easily led, bless

He said he had an account he wanted to provide to police that would explain the "context and circumstances."

Mr Barklie denied singing any racist songs; said he travelled to the game alone; insisted he did not know any of the other individuals captured on video footage of the incident; and said he has never been part of any "group or faction" of Chelsea fans.
Suspected of being the main protagonist I would accept...
So, how quick was he to disembark from the train when the chanting started, so as to disassociate himself from such detestable yobs?

Actually, shoota...the one in the blue coat is equally culpable of pushing him off the train, but he then hid behind the copper.

I'm sure he was just attempting to prevent the victim from entering the carriage because of the odious nature of the other occupants m'lud.
The second push? Ah then he was merely preventing him from staggering and falling over.....
I suppose we should expect out Policemen, serving and retired, to behave better than this. But racists exist in all walks of life, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised.
/// Chelsea has said it will ban the five suspended fans from attending Stamford Bridge for life if there is sufficient evidence of their involvement. ///

"IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE"

/// A spokesman said the club was writing to the victim to "apologise unreservedly", while manager Jose Mourinho has said he is "ashamed" by the alleged racism. ///

"ALLEGED RACISM"

Still nothing is absolutely sure, and yet there are still some on this site who want to hang them from the nearest tree.
That's just media talk.

I'm absolutely sure the man was pushed off the train. I'm absolutely sure they were chanting 'we're racist'

Why are you trying to excuse them still?
Not good publicity for the boys in blue.
ummmm

I am not, nor have I ever tried to excuse them, but there is not enough evidence to what actually happened.
AOG, I read out your answer to my OH and he burst out laughing!!
AOG, I'm not sure Jose Mourinho can say no more, on behalf of Chelsea FC.
He is their manager and has come out with a lot of twoddle lately however its not up to him to speak for their fans behaviour.
As a representative of the club, I would have thought better of him.
