According to the Pope, they are:

I know two couples who have elected not to have kids, not out of selfishness - they just don't have any paternal/maternal feelings.

Do you agree with Pope Frankie?

oops .....................................Pope
No you had it right the first time Talbot lol lol
Rather strange that a man (the Pope) who cant marry, and does not have sex, is telling people off for not having children.

Does he not see the irony of that?
As an intelligent man I am sure he does VHG, but he also knows the remit of his job - to speak the words according to the Catholic rules

The trick to being RC is to smile and nod politely then live your life in the best way possible for your family- it is how I have survived as do millions of others.
But millions don't, Mamya.....growing up as an Irish Catholic I've seen the damage that following without questioning does....and that's a tragedy and why I would welcome the end of Catholicism.
like all religions they need a constant supply of brainwashing fodder.
I was talking of the ones that do - the fact that many don't does not negate my statement.

I feel nothing but horror when I hear of those who have suffered and consider myself and those who haven't had any trouble to be fortunate indeed.
With the current planitary population it could be argued that the real position is the opposite of what is holyness says.
I appreciate that, Mamya....but for me to have remained within the Catholic Church would have made me feel I was contributing to its evils by helping it to continue.....

I am not particularly active in the Church these days due to many issues, but by all means lump me in with those contributing to the evils if it appeases you.

We love a bit of guilt us Catholic girls.
I'm a Catholic, as are most people I know, and only a tiny amount live by the rules.

The ones I know who do are spinsters and bachelors.
Not at all, if it's their choice, it's their choice & nothing to do with anyone else including the pope, why bring a child into the World if you have no interest.
Me and my missus have been together for nearly 25 years, we're not married and no kids.
It was a joint decision not to have kids - it suits our (selfish) ways .... we can go on holiday when we want; go to the pub (and come home) when we want .... prob quite a few other reasons as well ......
Why would I need appeasing, Mamya? I gave my long held opinion as did you.

Pick and mix religion, choose your own rules, Ummmm?.....That wouldn't work in my book....and any support is support.....but if you'd grown up in Ireland in the 50s and 60s you'd know it was all or nothing.
Just in case my point was missed.

the pope said.
“The choice to not have children is selfish. Life rejuvenates and acquires energy when it multiplies: It is enriched, not impoverished.”

the pope said.
"Needing to talk badly about others indicates low self-esteem. That means, 'I feel so low that instead of picking myself up I have to cut others down,'"

So the hypocrite suffers from low self esteem?
xxx Hiya my apple
Evening, TWR...if that was for me......and not Talbot.......☻...xx
