Kenny MacAskill :-

"Any of them who come up predisposed to cause football violence - and we have a minority in Scotland who sometimes do that themselves - they will be dealt with by the police."

Not just the English, then ??
Anne is right, it IS a great fixture igniting passions on both sides rarely seen in friendly games

There will be the usual English hooligan element intent on causing trouble north of the border but that's no different to when the scots venture south (2008 UEFA Cup Final in Manchester perhaps the most recent high profile occurance of jock hooligans on the *** in England intent on trouble)

.....and there you have it in a nutshell, there are only English Hooligans! right oh!
no ouzel.. '' a minority''
Joeluke....you omitted any mention of the Wembley Wizards trouncing of England ,scoring 5 goals.
'Joeluke....you omitted any mention of the Wembley Wizards trouncing of England ,scoring 5 goals.'

Did that win Scotland the World Cup?
It shows how little successful history Scotland have when one of their biggest icons is not one of their own top players, but Diego Maradona of Argentina - simply because he 'scored' that goal
there will be an element of idiots from the home support, but in fairness England supporters don't really have a great reputation do they.? but I'm pleased the fixture is on .
"Did I mention we won the World Cup in 1966?"

Aye, but you didn't mention being sent homeward to think again in April 1967. Not enough Soviet input that day, perhaps?
No there was no such thing as the World Cup then Joeluke. I think it only commenced in 1966 !!

Here is a question for you :

Since the inception of the Premier League how many of the winning teams have been managed by an Englishman ?
Still counting Joeluke........Will give you a hint.

You won't need the fingers on both hands to count the answer. In fact you won't need the fingers on one hand. :-)
Ah! Doesn't it bring back fond memories of the olden days, when England fans were regularly shown on news programmes being "hosed" off the streets of Europe's capitals?
"Bannockburn was a battle 700 years ago and has absolutely nowt to do with football "

So why did you mention it in the first place then?
-- answer removed --
What history books have you read divebuddy ?
We don't need to be hooligans at matches. If we lose we just take the goal posts and turf home with us.

I hope that all goes well, hopefully the best/blue team will win and there are no arrests.

'Anyone but England' can be roughly translated as 'We're a pathetic tin-pot province who's success depends on others failure'.
Sir Oracle.....'Since the inception of the Premier League how many of the winning teams have been managed by an Englishman ?'

Totally irrelevant to tonights game (which was won extremely comfortably by us)

Ichkeria.......'"Bannockburn was a battle 700 years ago and has absolutely nowt to do with football "

So why did you mention it in the first place then?'

Because at previous England/Scotland games Bannockburn banners have been displayed in the crowd
They may take our lives, but they’ll never take our Three-one!
England won 3 to 1goal. Methinks the Scots are bashed to a stupor.
