Went to the bit of a do yesterday and I enjoyed it "somewhat"..

Loved the line dancing as I can do a fair bit and it came back to me.

However, I have always had a problem embracing being over 60 - all the ladies to me looked the same - same hairdo, same clothes - top and trousers etc etc.

Sometimes I think going to the Silver-haired brigade themes is too soon.

I don't think I'll be going on a regular basis but maybe from time to time. Anybody have this problem.

Sometimes I think

don't wear beige !!!!
Question Author
I don't Anne - don't have anything beige I think.

Wore lovely black trousers and sparkly coloured top. Felt good.

Only thing I brought a shopper bag and so I felt a bit like Roy Cropper.

Next time will use my large red shoulder bag and it would blind you with bling. Love it.
a shopper bag, at least it wasn't a shopping trolley conn :)

Oh God no Anne - perish that thought for a while yet. LOL
Nothing at all wrong with a blinged up shopping trolley!...☺
You're not over 60 JJ. You are only 21 PUS vat. Keep away from the beige brigade and say forever young!
jenny .... lol. You're not one of them yet. Do your own thing. I have a bit of a thing with makeup at the moment. Just bought a gunmetal grey sparkly eyeliner .... love it!!! x
^ snap Jan!
large ethnic type jewellery is my favourite ploy , or pashmina , or both.
I just dress just as I like and bleach my hair! Just finished growing my hair so I can do a different hairstyle. Know what you mean though, enjoyable in a way but these do's categorise you. Love my daughter's band's 'gigs', but find it a bit too noisy and sweaty these days, so that makes me feel a bit old, too.

Went to a friend's 70th the other year - she was spilling her boobs out of a long, slinky, glittery dress; had dyed her long hair scarlet; looked just great and had fun! Keep on trucking!

The snag is if I don't go to the silver brigade I'll not get out really as it is where my friends go now.

Also hate saying this - canna stand the way older people are so mean.

They put forward a £1 each for the taxi. Buy their own drink - and yesterday I couldn't believe an older lady went up to the table and brought down a platter of sandwiches for her friends but in the meantime the friends had gone up and got more resulting in many other ladies not getting any and the sandwiches from the big platter ended up in the bin.

I know another lady (deceased) but no matter where she went dining - she lifted the little sugars, salt and pepper from the table. Urgh that turns me.

Did see a reminder of that yesterday as ladies were taking like literally 3 spoonfuls of stew home in a plastic bowl. Oh please!!!!
jenny .... you don't belong there. Find another alternative. I went to a local history thing ... I'm interested in that. They served up free hotpot ... everyone had their 'memories' ... it just served to depress me. Those that were there loved it & it was a valuable service for those that were there ... but not for me.
Where are you by the way Jenny?
Question Author
Yes Elina - 3 friends have gone a bus run this morning at 9.00 am to Dublin - when they exit from the bus guess where they are going - a cemetery to find out about History.

Jesus - I live across the road from two cemeteries and believe me there is plenty of history there re troubles and suicides.
Question Author
Norn Ireland.
Awww Jenny ... any available norn Ireland unattached men for Jenny on here please??? :0)

Having said all that - from I got Harvey I had stopped going out socially - I did get my pleasure from him. Met dog walkers in the park, by the seaside etc. Did get asked out for dates. That was fun!!!!

Met odd balls too but it was par for the course.

Question Author
oh lord elina - no men - do not want to go down that route again.

"Do you want your dinner now - love". Big stick faces looking up at you - are you going out again. No more traps.
