It was Kilroy-Silk. What became of him?
Kilroy Silk. Formerly Labour, then SDP, eventually ended up a nutter.
A follower of David Icke, was he? ☺

I think Kilroy Silk founded his own party...then sank without trace...
Er... wrong thread?

John Curtice (see link) knows what he is talking about and although obviously not an exact science, he makes a valid point.

Just how successful can UKIP be? Well, swathes of the public have had enough. Picking up on an earlier point that 'voters fall back into line' in a General Election, there can be no room now for complacency from Lab/Con. Also, add on 10% extra say who don't vote in by- elections, there may be more surprises to come yet.
I agree with everyone else on here ...daft prediction, full of sloppy maths, and wooly thinking.

Nice to see that for once, we all seem to be in agreement !

@Gromit - Labour WILL lose 20 seats + in Scotland, their popularity is at an all time low
Thanks for that slapshot, I had taken my eye off the ball in Scotland. I had no idea Labour was so unpopular North of the Border.
The electorialcalcalus website predicts...

CON 4 (+3)
LAB 30 (-11)
LIB 2 (-9)
UKIP 0 (+0)
NAT 23 (+17)
All the more reason togetout and trade with the world
Sorry this was put in the wrong place!!
Robert Kilroy Silk was an early member of UKIP until he defected and formed his own party, ''.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veritas_(political_party)'.

I would venture that those numbers are overly optomistic for Labour Gromit, in the North East I expect labour and Lib Dem to be wiped out in favour of the SNP possibly Tory in my own constituency, you're looking at people like Anne Begg, Malcolm Bruce, Sir Robert Smith and Danny Alexander losing their seats. Further west the SNP have made some massive gains even Charlie Kennedy is at risk.
In south and central Scotland, the labour heartlands have been ripped apart because the party have nothing left to offer the hard line socialists.
Tommy Sheridan, philanderer, liar and underneath everything else a communist but a wealthy one represents the best socialism can offer at the minute.... may your favourite deity help us.
Socialism is dead and whichever party gives the best options for personal wealth is all.
// “Plainly Labour has big problems north of the border. Parity in votes between SNP and Labour next May now looks perfectly possible. This could give the SNP up to 20 more seats, mainly at Labour’s expense.” //

There's something in our local rag this week which appears to indicate from a vox pop that only a few wards in East Kent would stay with their current loyalty, all the rest would sway to UKIP.
///Who was the TV presenter with the very orange tan who went into politics? Whatever became of him?///
didn't know that dale winton had gone into politics

Not even Farage, in his wildest dreams, thinks he is going to win 128 seats next May !

On the subject of Kilroy-Silk, he doesn't appear to be doing anything much these days, at least according to Wiki :::

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Kilroy-Silk

Long may this continue.
I can see UKIP winning it.
