OK whatever he said or did not say about the the weegy games, does anyone know why he's not doing the 100 and 200? I have read the reports but they all seem obsessed with what he claims not to have said about Glasgow.

weegie games :)
pop-up festival in Edinburgh to celebrate the games?
I didnt realise that TTT.You could say its a bolt out of the blue... OR maybe he has shot his bolt.
hasn't he been carrying an injury? He'd probably want to limit his racing if so
money?
I suppose he could be starting to believe his own publicity and think that running quite fast somehow makes him a bit rock and roll.
It doesn't really.
Because he was injured for the trials, therefore under his athletic federation guidelines could not be picked for the individual events.
He is recovering from recent surgery apparently, although its not immediately clear why the surgery allows him to run in a relay event but not the 100 and 200 meters. Curiouser and curiouser !
I wish people would speak English on here ! What is "weegy" games TTT please ? Is this another word that I have to add to my AB Dictionary ?
Glaswegian....
Ummmm...really ? Than why don't you say that TTT ! I live in Swansea, as you know but if I were to refer it, it is unlikely that I would call it swany.
Carrying an injury ,carrying a baton ,carrying on he still a great runner .Just thinking when a great runner loses his speed is he a has bean .
shot his bolt.
It's just a guess, Mickey, going by the other words he changes.
Thanks Ummm..... I need SOC, (Subtitles On Ceefax) on here sometimes !

Mikey you must be the only person in the UK who does not know about the Weegies, or even my missspelling of it. If they where Cardiff they'd be know as the Taffy Games!
Not in Cardiff they wouldn't TTT !

Welsh people don't take too well to be described as Taffys, as you will find out if you use the phrase in a Welsh pub. It has too many connotations with a certain ignorant and racist rhyme. And I have been told many times before that Scots don't enjoy being referred to as "Scotch" either, as that applies to beef and whisky, but never people !

By the way, I have never heard the phrase "weegy" before, and I can't be the only one !
never heard of weegy before but I suppose I don't frequent the same pubs as TTT.

I suppose he could be starting to believe his own publicity and think that running quite fast somehow makes him a bit rock and roll. It doesn't really

Yes it does. Try it and see.
I've never heard the expression before.

Like jno says.....running fast does make him a bit rock 'n' roll
