I read a biography of her only recently, can't recall if it was an autobiography, she sounded to be a very interesting woman and close to her famous father. RIP
Sad to hear, but she had a good long life. May she rest in peace.
A very interesting and intelligent lady, what a shame the same can't be said about her son................dreadful man.
they said the same about Mary's brother Randolph, craft - when he had a benign tumour removed, someone (Evelyn Waugh?) said it was typical of modern medicine that they found the only bit of Randolph that wasn't malignant, and cut it out.
Every time I hear Randolph Churchill’s name I am reminded of this anecdote [Copied for convenience from the internet].

//In the late stages of the Second World War, Evelyn Waugh was trapped in Europe in the company of Randolph Churchill, the boorish son of the wartime prime minister. "In the hope of keeping him quiet," he wrote to Nancy Mitford, "Freddie and I bet him £20 that he cannot read the whole Bible in a fortnight. Unhappily it has not had the result we hoped. He has never read any of it before and is hideously excited; keeps reading quotations aloud... or merely slapping his side & chortling 'God, isn't God a sh1t!' //

Her husband was odious too.
