Not much change to the LibDems or the ghastly UKIP, so this large lead seems to have all come from the Tories.

Emmie. I have asked this question a couple of times before but.....

If everything is as you say, and dave has an open goal with the two Eds, why can't he get ahead in the Polls ?

My theory is that while most of the public don't believe what our politicians tells them, they disbelieve the Tories a lot more than Labour. Its a question of trust perhaps ?

I have never voted since living in Spain ......not even in Spanish elections.

our electorate is fickle, and may vote for a party that supposedly adheres to their core values, however they seem to change like the wind, its why you see the swinging vote, many don't make up their minds until the election is upon them, and how many out of a population that is eligible to vote, actually do so.

If it was me, yes I do, although I am somewhat lukewarm about the other Ed. There, you see how honest I am !

I think it is a question of trust Mikey. To be told that we are all in it together, see families and disabled people made destitute by their Dickensian austerity measures and then have some upper class twits claiming expenses for dredging their moat and fixing a leak under their tennis courts does smack of lying, immoral gits with double standards, not to mention the plethora of other nonsense they have been caught out on. Not that labour a lot better but they are considered, I think, less against the common man than the Tories in popular perception, and in tough times that alone will help them.

There is a bit more to the story......my mate has Altzhemiers and his wife is 20 years younger than him, an ex NHS ward sister, so it should be fun.

I am also going to ask about Altzheimers as i have never been sure how it differs from "old age" or dementia in the early stages.

yes you, so you trust in Milliband, then please explain what his proposals are for the following,
immigration,
EU,
job creation,
NHS

perception, led by the media, its not about personalities, or it shouldn't be, it should be about what the party of which ever persuasion can do for the country it governs. Firm policies, not shilly shallying around, tell us what they will do on immigration, perhaps they can't because by and large its not entirely up to us is it, seeing as how the EU rules on matters of freedom of work to its EU citizens, and that borders are not closed to those citizens. and the argument about we can also do the same doesn't hold water, as most of the countries in the EU apart from Germany are struggling, its why their citizens move away, their standard of living,
wages, health service are not nearly as comparable as ours.

The vote may indeed be swinging emmie, as it always has, but it is not swinging in daves direction anything like enough, and that is my point.

He just seems unable to perform well enough to make a difference. Now if he abdicated in favour of Boris, or some other high-profile candidate, things might have been altogether different. Its not like the Tories to hang on to a liability. The Men in Grey Suits normally act swiftly, as they will after May 2015, but by then it will be too late. Labour are somewhat used to being in opposition but the Tories hate it. They will remember the days of Hague, IDS, and Howard for a long time yet.

the problem with Boris is he is popular, that can count against anyone,
we don't need popular, as much as i like Boris, we need a firm, decisive leadership, one that stands up for our country, and its citizens.
Boris may act just as David Cameron has, there is no way to know whether he could remotely turn the party, voting around.

and you still haven't indicated what the future plans are for the items i listed. you can't make things up on the hoof, it shouldn't work like that.

there is your answer, Labour for the common man, and the Tories for the upper classes, perception of Cameron and his team as Tory twits,
perception, and its very powerful, people also see Milliband and don't necessarily listen to his rhetoric more that he looks rather odd. If he comes and does the glad handing and tells the people what they want to hear, how does that help, he needs to make firm policies, those that affect the population as a whole, and i wonder do the business community trust him, or is it just the public sector that will come out in droves, or deprived areas of the country.

i have already posted your remarks on women PC's, not exactly PC yourself disparaged them as ineffectual, weak and won't get into the fray, strange that any number have been killed in the line of duty, whilst protecting the British public, in other words doing their job.
