I did start to watch the debate but, to be honest, I found Farage to be so irritating and unpleasant, that after 15 mins I turned it off.
Clegg will probably wipe the floor with Farage because he is far cleverer. Farage will look like an idiot by the end of the evening.

The Lib Dem and the Coalition have far more resources so Clegg to be totally prepare. UKiP will have planned his strategy around a pub table on the back of a fag packet.

Hmmm, general concensus would suggest that forecast as being somewhat very wide of the mark Gromit, as I suspected:

So, back to the drawing board eh Nick? I hope the subject of student fees doesn't come up in the next debate, he'll be scuppered.
Farage must be cock-a-hoop now that they've allowed him a proper mouthpiece to air his views.
Labour and Tories alike must be kicking themselves, though I fancy he would have destroyed them even more than he did Cleggy.
Chilli...dave should have faced Farage, not sent his Butler to do the job.

Difficulty is, of course, is that dave and his Party are only slightly less keen on Europe than the ghastly UKIP shower. Farage could have won this debate by staying at home.
Dodgy Dave didn't face him because he knew Farage would have eviscerated him on Europe and quite a lot if other stuff too!

Clegg's position is pretty much untenable, he's basically without portfolio.
Was Clegg ever anything else ? In the early days after the 2010 election Steve Bell in the Guardian had Clegg standing behind dave, with a silver tray and cocktail shaker !

Clegg is not a bad man but just out of his depth when competing with the big boys. I still think he looks like he is in the 5th Form Debating Society. He doesn't exude grafitas one little bit.
