What took so long ? This man is completely and utterly insane. Why was so much public money wasted proving the obvious ?

Following due legal process - the rule of Law is IMHO never a waste of money
I wish the whole case was heard without all the publicity, he must be lovin every second.
Good!
As jtp says - Due process, for which we should all be mightily thankful, however pointless or excessive it might appear for some individuals....
Why is so much public money going to be further wasted by keeping him alive?

/// "The tribunal has concluded that Mr Ian Stewart Brady continues to suffer from a mental disorder which is of a nature and degree which makes it appropriate for him to continue to receive medical treatment, and that it is necessary for his health and safety and for the protection of other persons that he should receive such treatment in hospital, and that appropriate medical treatment is available for him. ///

Why bother about his health and safety, why didn't they just say he was sane enough to allow himself to die?

They are not in the least bothered about his own or others health and safety they are just being 'bloody minded' in so much that they don't want him to be seen as winning.
good..................I hope this person gets no more opportunity to voice his opinion again.
You think, AOG? Nothing to do with finding the remains of Keith Bennet?
"they don't want him to be seen as winning."

Good.

Because UK upholds the rule of law.
ummmm

/// You think, AOG? Nothing to do with finding the remains of Keith Bennet? ///

Yes you have a valuable point there which unfortunately i didn't take into consideration, but do you really think he will ever direct them to the spot, even if he can remember himself after all this time?
I'm glad he's staying put, he deserves not to get what he wants. However I'm not convinced that he's cluck-cluck-jibber-jibber insane. He's an untreatable sadistic sexual psychopath but he can't be (and isn't being) treated for such.
sadistic bstard, he should rot in whichever institution will have him.
One has to ask whether people who suggest Brady could locate Keith Bennet's body if he felt like it have ever actually been ona moor...never mind one they have not visited - other than very briefly - for almost half a century.
I am in no position to judge his sanity or lack of it, but I am delighted that he has been denied the opportunity he desires to commit suicide.
AOG - No, I don't think he will even if he did know the exact point. He's evil.
Shame they don't build a 9 ft deep pit on the moor and put him in there - save us the money for the next sick bastard.
