.... Please help. How do you do it? I've tried going to the photo and pressing the arrow top right and then selecting email. Then I tried doing the same thing but selecting messages (the green icon with a speech bubble). Neither have worked. What am I doing wrong please?

what happens when you select the email option, it works fine for me, the other option is whilst in an email to touch and hold the screen it should pop up an option to insert a photo or video
This isn't meant to sound as patronising as it will but do you actually use the email facility on your iPad? Or do you look at emails through an external website, like hotmail?

Thanks for reply fitzer. Nothing happened, there was no message to say it hadn't worked, but the recipient hasn't received them. I'm going to try the other way you have suggested. I'll come back and tell you how I get on.

Hi Evian, it's ok it doesn't sound patronising. I'm pretty dumb at technology. I press the google icon and then I get my mail page.
Question Author
No that's not right sorry. I press google icon, then ask for Bt yahoo, THEN get my mail page.

...... I just pressed the mail icon (the one with little envelope) and there are 16 unsent messages in there. They are the ones I thought I'd sent. They each have a red exclamation mark next to them.
Ah, I think that'll be why then.

You're emails are not set up on your iPad so the way you're trying to send images won't work. You may be able to set up a BT email address to read on your iPad (I'm not certain). But it's more likely that when you go to your emails as normal and start a new email there should be an icon that asks you to attach files.
On the iPad go to Settings, then the Mail option then touch 'add new account' and see if your service is listed there and follow the steps. Then your emails will come to your iPad through the email icon.
Question Author
Thanks Evian, I WILL try that, but I'll probably end up waiting for son to do it.
Question Author
....just thinking about it, my email address is @btinternet.com
Good idea, I'm not good at explaining these things without being in front of it. Try with my dad all the time :)

But if you do that then when you click the arrow in the photo, like you said you were in your op it will be much easier to email the photo.
Question Author
Ok I looked in settings and my btinternet account is in there.
Stupid question but have you sent any e mails or received e mails through the ipad, (not by clicking the google icon). If not then you need to set up the e mail as stated. If it has been set up then make sure that the information has been inserted correctly, so easy to leave out a dot.

KJN no I haven't, only by going through google then bt yahoo. I'll try to get it sorted tomorrow. Thank you.
