Ipad Attaching Photos To Emails

On my lappys, if you attach a photo to a hotmail, it just attached it, with a little icon to show you it's there.

On the iPad, it puts the photo into the body of the email.

Which is a pain, if you're trying to write text, with photos attached.

Is there a way to stop the iPad putting the photos into the body of the email?
