This man is clearly right handed judging by the way he is using his right hand to do the ironing.

If this is correct how did he manage to burn the left side of his face when he mistook the iron for the phone?

Oh dear - easy done though, I am forever trying to change TV channels with my mobile phone.
This sounds like a bad joke . . .
Must be a slow day at the office.
So , where was the phone - on the ironing board ?
That used to be an 'Irish Joke':

/how do you burn an Irishman? phone him while he's doing the ironing/

Methinks the Polish chap's bandages look a bit suspect as well LOL
On the list of things I've done whilst half asleep, I've hairspayed my underarms and deodorized my head before
I think the answer lies in this statement:

"After breakfast I started to work. I turned on the boxing channel on the TV, opened a beer and started ironing"

A man who has a beer straight after breakfast?

Pieces of the jigsaw puzzle fall into place...
AOG - you dont necessarilly pick up the phone with your right hand and answer a call , with the phone held to your right side ; even if you are righthanded
I pick up the phone in my left hand, leaving my right hand free for writing.
What a smooth operator!
Mistakes are easily made when you're doing routine things. My mouth still puckers up at the thought of the time I brushed my teeth with pile ointment.
This creased me up.

did the toothpaste sting?
As I kid, I was prescribed some cream, it had to be stored in the fridge. My granddad mistook it for Primula cheese, and lovingly spread it over his bread. Me and my mum gasped in horror, but as much as I can remember, neither of us had the guts to say what it was for!
Not a cold caller then?

No harm done there boxtops, unless of course you try and change over to Channel 999.

Alright you smarties before you start, maybe there isn't a Channel 999, who knows?

I would have thought a man who was used to drinking a beer straight after breakfast would be the type, that one can of beer would have little effect on him?

on a work day, i usually get up between 1:45 and 2:00am. Last week, I woke up to find out the time, I looked around and found the clock which in bright digital letters said 1:31. Thank goodness, I thought, another twenty minutes sleep. Then I sat bolt upright. I don't have a clock in the bedroom! I was looking at the TV virgin box thing. D'oh! I grabbed my mobile, and it was only 11pm.

Funny you saying that, I heard on the radio this morning that Hemorrhoid cream in small amounts is very good for smoothing out wrinkles.
