I've set up an ebay account and paypal but I'm new to both.

Do you have to move money from your bank account into paypal and vice versa?

I ask this because ebay apparently took 0.40p off me for a listing. I cant see they've taken anything when I go to my online banking with my current account.

I also cant see the item I wanted to sell in my 'offered items' listings

update: this will answer the 2nd part of my question;

'Amount Due: £0.40

No payment is required at this time because your account balance is below eBay's minimum payment threshold'

does this mean i have to move funds into paypal? I thought it was just linked to your current account?
if your paypal account has money in it (for example from selling something on ebay) then when you buy something (or get a charge) the money just comes from there, If there's no money in there paypal requests it from your bank, then PP pays the seller from that money
You want be charged straight away, you will be invoiced once a month.
You won't be charged straight away ......

Flipping typos
i think you can chose to be invoiced or pay straight away hc

ok thanks all. I understand it better now.

I still cant work out how to view what I have on offer. I've search for my auction and found it that way but surely there must be a way of seeing all your listings?
yes go to my ebay then "selling" from the drop down list (top right)
When did you list it? I can take a while to appear.

Go to My eBay - all selling. You will see your items there.
or on my ebay look at the grey box on the left that goes down the page (rather like where the topic list is on here) and go to selling
...Or go to the category you selected when you listed the item and find it there or simply put a brief description of the article in the search box near the top of the pge to view it. You may have to scroll through a few pages of similar items, but that would also help you see what the "competition" is and see if you've priced it correctly...

thanks all, have managed to find the listing with your help!
eBay invoice me once a month via my PayPal account, booldawg - if there isn't enough in your PP account from sales you've made, they take it from the primary bank account you identified when you set up the account.
PP will request funds from what ever source you have used to find your PP ac/
It may not be your bank a/c, it could be your credit card
Really, if you dont understand it you really need to read the polices first before you get into trouble
