I have purposely avoided every minute of it. Even the news is all about the Jubilee. Roll on Wednesday when hopefully we can get the TV and News back to normal. I'm not anti-royal, just anti shoving it in my face all day and all night.

it's hardly being shoved in your face if you've avoided every moment of it. There's always the shopping channels to watch.
oh come on mikmak its not very often we can all celebrate something so special and celebrate as 1 nation someting we can be proud of...all the doom and gloom can wait until wdenesday...cant it???
it can even wait until wednesday...lol
Dont be so miserable!

You all must admit it has dominated the TV.
only on bbc1 and itv
> Don't be so miserable!

That attitude is asinine in the extreme! It's akin to the pathetic notion that if you don't like Christmas there must be something fundamentally wrong with you.

Not being interested in this weekend's celebrations does not mean that you are miserable...
Enjoy......

But why have you come on here to talk about it then micmak?
maybe so mikmak but its not very often we will celebrate the diamond jubilee of our monarch...there is enough doom and gloom in the world at the moment...isny it nice to see people on the tv news enjoying themselves smiling in joy??...and not of images of people dying, being blown apart and crying at their plight...we have enough of that 365 days a year...surely 4 days of joy on the tv is not too much for you....

And Sky news
And bbc 24
and channel 4 news
and channel 5 news
Yeaterday I watched a 1969 film Butch and Sundance.
Am I to assume you are all cap wringers on here. Yes your Maj. No your Maj.
Even our unborn grandkids won't see a jubilee, william is 30 isnt he? we get Charles first. Mickmak, even AB has been Jubilee coverage last 3 hours....
Yes it has dominated the TV - and with very good reason. This is only the second time in the whole history of the UK (and lets face it, that's some history!) that this has happened. If you aren't interested in it, then Im sure there are lots of channels on telly that arent showing it. As for me - Im loving it!!!!
and the other 12,000 channels, micmak? Surely there must be an Anhedonia Channel somewhere
> Surely there must be an Anhedonia Channel somewhere.

See, that's the problem right there! Not loving something that you love does not imply an inability to experience pleasure...

Mrs M those things are still happening, but not getting reported because of the jubilee. Baroness Farcee (sp) has returned from Pakistan, apologising to Cameron, but being buried amongst the jubilee celebrations.
Well I'm no great royalist and there are a few here who have me sited as a hand-wringing, leftie Guardian reading upstart, but I do have some affection and soul for the few things that I regard as making this country great including our royal family. (I hope you're reading this AOG).
oh yes it does
Anhedona ?
lol not at all mikmak i do not wring my cap...but surely you must agree that this is a remarkable piece of history we are witnessing...oh well if you would rather watch butch cassidy and the sundance kid then that is your perogotive..i think bridge over the river kwai is on tomorrow if that interests you more than watching history in the making....
