I saw a picture of him a few weeks back, he looked dreadful. Sad news for those of us who remember them in their heyday.

Yes indeed Boxie ....... imagine how Barry will feel if he is the sole surviving one.

I saw him and his son on tv a few days ago doing an orchestral concert they had written and produced and he looked really bad.
Hope he gets better, as his music in the past was fantastic. |

It is sad, he has fought so hard against it but it's not looking very good for him at the moment.

Very sad ..... Hope he makes it x

very unlikely now, tinks, pneumonia has set in - but we can but hope.

The Bothers Gibb are legendary. It is sad to hear, but they have all had a great career and a good affluent life. Hope he pulls through to enjoy more of it. God willing. : ) xxx

Sadder still for his family. At least he is out of pain now. 62 years is no age and I have no realistic hope that he will survive this now.

Rather sadly for Barry, as he is the eldest brother, it looks as though all his 3 younger brothers will die before him.
There was a 90 minute documentary about their whole career on BBC4 the other day. From their early days in Australia as "child stars" to coming over to the UK to try to rival the Beatles and other bands, to their time out of fashion, to of course coming back with the songs from Saturday Night Fever. They have had an amazing career. |

Lets remember them like this

Just viewed "I Started A Joke" on YouTube. At least if he goes we'll have stuff like that.

How sad, I can't helping thinking of their poor mum, if he passes, she'll have buried 3 of her sons.

I think the Bee Gees are one of those bands who never got the credit they deserved in their prime, but on reflection, people appreciate how good they were.

So sad. The song I always liked to hear him sing is the unofficial anthem of The Isle of Man. http://youtu.be/VJ_9kCYzkMI
