For spectators that is. Looks like food and drinks manufacturers are in for another big pay day and the rules will hardly make it a 'family' day out.

Anyone got tickets?

Maybe Al Murray has got it right (from 1.45 in the clip)

'Spectators at the Olympic Games will not be allowed to take drinks or liquids in more than 100ml containers, like sunscreen, into 2012 venues'

err if I was a mum of quite a few children, I'd need more than 100ml to protect my children surely?
already being discussed on here http://www.theanswerb.../Question1063845.html

Exactly alba, hardly family friendly rules and regs are they?
LOL @ philtaz!

alba - presumably the kids could take 100ml each?
Dammit, I was planning to take a flagpole.... ;-(
To me, a family day out was a picnic (loads of sandwiches with different fillings, a thermos for 'it' (he likes his tea,) cakes, buns, sausage rolls and so on. To be deprived of that due to the War on Terror sucks.

If I burnt my sausage rolls, then fair do's. they could be used in Throwing the Hammer event :)
Don't tell me - you have to order and pay for a load of food in advance via a website, but you don't know which of it you'll be getting if any until they've allocated it using some mysterious lottery system, and you may end up with a bag of peanuts instead of a hotdog (everyone wants the hotdogs) and all of it's ridiculously expensive.
Does it work something like that?
