What makes people who are born into a free society such as ours, go and take up arms against us?
Surely they should be tried for treason as British Nationals fighting against their own country.

btw, this was on the News this morning and not a rant of the DM

yes I agree 100% with this AOG but fear they will (if guilty) get the kid glove treatment
It's not easy to deport people like this - they say they'd be in danger in their birth country and we roll over and let them stay, with their noses in the UK benefits trough.
Question Author
which is why I say they will be handled delicately venator while hating the country that houses them , us!
I think we all agree on this Bobbi! It's not easy being so **** civilised!

Question Author
no, venator , it isn't:o)

Triggerhippy, where has money been mentioned here, I would say it is down to getting what they deserve if they are found guilty, you appear to think money motivates myself and AOGs threads?
you are wrong this time

OK, you are right of course
fact: two people with british/dual nationality caught planning to kill british troops.

question: should they be tried for treason?

people are invited to give their opinions on the subject, and i (like many others, it seems) think that they should, never be let back into this country (if they think it's so crap) and maybe face justice taliban style (either in one of their prisons or via the death penalty). i've no idea why people get so het up over accusations, proof and all that rubbish as this is a chat site, not a flipping court! i think they just like to be difficult...and it is rather pointless x

perhaps you should have addressed the poster then ?
and not be so rude as to say "not you" after all, you don't like rudeness, do you?
sigh...trigger - no i'm not! they just make such a song and dance about it. people can comment and disagree all they like, but keep it civil and not make statements such as 'oh, so you're all agreed they are guily' etc. very few (if any) said that - what most said was if there are guilty, then they should be tried for treason. different kettle of fish entirely. noone said 'if anyone disagrees, then they are...' until the pc and hr brigade starts harping on about it (like in aog or r1g threads, which become equally annoying!). when the shoe is on the other foot and people are aressted in the middle east for spying/plotting/killing, they are not given a free ride or fair trial (usually) and are subjected to the delight of their prison system promptly. why should it be any different for these two?
