This load of spiel comes from our Prime Minister, that would rather be out of the UK on another of his foreign support missions while another 1,400 British jobs go because our government have given another contract to a foreign company.

Regarding the very sad loss of another British soldier, now is the time to either come out of that hell hole or change our tactics.

No more 'nice guys' we should be working on the idea that no Afghan can be trusted, and we should dish out the same justice that this poor lad has had dished out to him.

In other words any one of the treacherous villains captured should be put up against the wall and shot.

Get your facts right about the job losses. Most of the jobs were going once current contracts were completed. The company has stated that even if it had won the new contract the jobs would still have gone and they advised the government of this back in May. I for one think it is great that the PM visits troops.....it certainly helped my morale when serving abroad.

I believe there are over 200,000 trained Afghan troops probably outnumbering the insurgents at least 200:1 so why can't they handle the situation themselves. Are they that useless or are we the mugs being taken for a ride?

Murdered, Executed, Killed in Action, the poor lad is still dead.

We should find out who is responsible, in this case the Taliban claim responsibility, therefore each one of those we capture should be 'Murdered, Executed, call it what you may, just as long as they are not around to kill anyone else.

We are not fighting a legitimate uniformed army, therefore Geneva Convention Laws need not be observed.

The Russians behaved in Afghanistan exactly as you are suggesting Britain should. One "party piece" of theirs was to drop women alive out of helicopters, for example.
And I don't recall their brutal war there as being much of a success as a result.
British troops by contrast are doing an amazing job, as far as I can see, and suggesting they ought to behave like gangsters or criminals instead would, I;d have thought, be very insulting to them. And apart from that, can you imagine the propaganda you would hand to the Taliban and co on a plate.

I would suggest an excellent way to help both sides with our troops being deliberately killed we could assist each Taliban to reach their goal by strapping explosives to them & saying ''We hope you have 10.000 virgins waiting for you, bye bye'' Ron.
