It sickens me that certain people of the religious persuasion think that the unimaginable horror experienced by the Japanese people as a result of the massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami is the work of an all powerful God. This would be the same God that religious people claim loves all mankind... except those who He chooses to kill for no obvious...

My guess is that we'll be hearing, "Well, it's his opinion and at least he's now cowed by the PC lobby".
Practically writes itself.
It's weird though isn't it...as long as you follow a hardline religious doctrine, be it Islam, COfE or Catholism, you can say anything, and claim it to be fact.
Bizarre.

I'm sure that most swivel-eyed fundamentalist religious lunatics could explain why God chose to kill those particular people. Most of the arguments that I have heard assume that everyone killed was an evil and nasty sinner who deserved to die. However, I've never had it fully explained to me how a baby, who is only a few days or a few weeks old, can be such an abomination to God that He feels the need to extinguish his/her existence in such a violent and indiscriminate manner.
Maybe some religious person could enlighten me?
