If Cameron is true to his word, this as got to be a vote winner.

Also look at the Conservatives plan on immigration, compared to Lib-Dem's amnesty for illegals, and Labours 13 years of failure.

The only downside of this is, will the vast numbers of immigrants and scroungers lose the Tories these votes?

He's losing no votes there AOG, those sorts mostly vote Noo Labour anyway, when you are robbing Peter to pay Paul, you can always rely on support from Paul.
well Phase 2 roaldom, hopefully ,would be radical suggestion, I know, err, let's start punishing criminals, radical or what!
Roaldo, thats got to be the worst excuse i've ever heard for the benefit culture?
Do you think we should legalise drugs to reduce drug related crime as well.

No money needed, bang the sh1tbags up in jail, outsource the prisons, there you go I've just halved the prison budget!

So what. If they resort to crime then they get arrested and punished. (If they resort to crime in my house then they get beaten, arrested and punished.)

The idea that we shouldn't do something for the benefit of the majority due to the fact it may increase crime is ***.

I think this is fantastic news. I am fed up of paying my taxes for things I never use so that some little broccoli who's only contribution to this world is five or six kids by different parents can have everything handed to them on a plate.

PS Those that are workshy will probably be to lazy to commit crime anyway. Trying to lug a telly through a window is hard work don't you know
I like an idea I saw on another website about shooting the workshy and then burning the bodies in power stations to create free electricity

"Outsource the prisons? To where?" - Turkey, Thialand, Malaysia anywhere where they have an effective prisons system and don't mind an earner,
See my idea above
On a serious note, should that stop us trying to prevent a generation of sponging losers?

For some of them it may cause them to turn to crime, but for the majority they will just return to work.

For those that return to crime then I hope the decrease in welfare apyments and the increase in taxes from the newly employed may fund more police and more prisons. And hopefully with the champagne socialists gone from power we may see some real changes in the way the law is witten, apllied and dealt with when broken.

I'm serious, we outsource all sorts of things to countries where they are cheaper, why not jail?. It cost us around £40k a prisoner per year to keep them in Her majesty's holiday camps. If we send say anyone with more than 6 months to a foriegn hell hole, for which we'll pay, probably half price or better. Result:

1. Less crime as no one wants to go to a foriegn hell hole
2. Halve the cost
3. No need to build prisons
4. Our judges and magistarates can dish out jail without getting a rollocking from the governement.
5. The goverenement can change the law to introduce proper prison sentences for crime.

over time crime will reduce to the hard core nutters that no one can help and they'll be in jail indefinately anyway. Can't see the downside myself.
