METRE.
PULSE.
OSTINATO.

Metre is the grouping of beats by means of regular stress patterns

Ostinato is a short melody or pattern that is constantly repeated, usually in the same part at the same pitch

Pulse is that the beat?

The metre is usually descriptive of hymn tunes ie the number of syllables per line.
Pulse is probably best understood as the beat (like a heart-beat).
I think that ostinato can be a repeated rhythmic pattern or a short melodic line repeated.
