What I want to know is why Eileen overseeing the funeral arrangements. It's not realistic Eileen driving the hearse without any previous experience and making a mess of it in front of the grieving family.
Your post, Bobbi, reminds me of the quip that I always heard during my teaching days when I walked into a classroom with a new haircut: "Tell us who did it, sir, an' we'll get 'em for yer!"

;-)
Who has died?
Or the other one Chris "who did your hair, Black and Decker?"
>>> It's not realistic Eileen driving the hearse without any previous experience

Is anything in TV soaps 'realistic'?

The last time I watched Coronation Street was in the days when Elsie Tanner was doing battle with Ena Sharples but my guess is the reason that Eileen was driving might be because she'd given up on Steve and Tim. (Ain't Google wonderful?)

Farce often pops up in Corrie, especially as an incidental to a heavy story line
Didn't Tim look dashing in his suit and peaked hat?

Sorry, I posted too quickly. Ted, Gail's father, has died.

a fella goes into a barber and says:
I wanna hair that is too long on one side, shaved on the other, still with a greasy ducktails, and sideboards difft levels

I still can't work out why George was asking for the key to the back door of the hearse so he could put the wreath in. He went off to find the key and dangled it to Eileen, but for some strange reason he didn't open the door and left the wreath on the floor. Also, if he didn't have the key, how did the coffin get in there?
Talking of haircuts I wish someone would get the shears on to Simon Barlow's. Its got to be the worst hairdo in all the soaps.

The whole funeral thing was a farce. Making Tim run away because he was scared of the body in the coffin was absolutely stupid and if George could drive the hearse, why didn't he offer to do it in the first place ??

I thought it was slapstick at its funniest, I loved when Mary addressed Nina and Asha as " hello you two lovely Lesbians"
Class, haha
burley, Gail wanted him to drive the limousine and refused to let any of the Streetcars lot do it
I agree with that Bobbs, trust Mary to say the wrong thing ! Dev's face was a picture.
I think Simon's acting has been quite good as he tries to look after his Mum, I've been quite impressed by him, not scowling so much.

I stopped liking Scowly Simon but I do concede , looking after his Mum brought out a better side to him, Peter looked like he should have been in Fiddler on the Roof haha
Oh God Peter, I've gone right off him and his moany, whiney ways !! If I was Carla I'd run off with the delectable Lucas in a heartbeat (lol).
