That never made it to the top of the charts though mally.
Wait for me Mally, I'll go with you.
It's a tough quiz, maybe errors - who knows.

Mine will go in with guesses and question marks dotted about as usual.

Togo, Sgt Pepper was at the top of the charts in early 1968 though made the previous year.

There's no obvious answer. None of the top albums that year has a name anything like a bird. If you're prepared to call Diana Ross a bird, she and the Supremes are the only females on the list. If you think a single track on an album can quality as being on top of the album charts (the way each member of a relay team can get a gold medal), then Blackbird - never released as a single, as far as I know. The Byrds and Joni Mitchell weren't on top of any charts I can find.
I've just crossed the word 'Album' out, I'll take my chances.
Wise move mamya, i bet the answer is Albatross
Albatross was a single before there was an album of the same name.

By Floyd?

You have a link?
Crossed there Murdo, sorry.

There has been at least one Album named 'Albatross' but totally unconnected, different artist and wrong timeline.

I've amended my sheet, if he doesn't like it - hard erm ...chickens.
I'm sure the answer is Albatross and the 'album' is a mistake.
Quite right, Albatross was only a single . But there was an album with theat track in it released the same year 1968. The Album was called
'The Pious Bird of Good Omen' So the the answer could be 'Pious Bird'
( or Pious Bird of Good Omen)
