Awwww!
antony dupe people tirelessly :-)
Fraid not Tilly :(

It was legit the email would be different - not withstanding the fact...why would they text you something like this?

Chin up always the National Lotto though
If you do fall victim to something like this, don't worry though. I received an email from Ban Ki Moon telling me that the UN were happy to compensate victims of fraud if we just send them our bank details, mother's maiden name etc.
Question Author
That's what the dpt is for then, Prudie. Thanks for that.

I might have been convinced had it said, 'Congratulations, Tilly!'

I don't do the National Lotto, QoM. I stopped buying them when the cost of the tickets rose.

I could have done with £2000,000,00. I need a new coat.
Question Author
Ban Ki Moon? Wow, Jim! That's a cut above anthony. :-)

Do people actually fall for these tricks?
I could sell you a new coat cheap, my last customer was a king. The clothes are invisible so choice of colour is not required.
It appears that you have won £2,000,000.

Get yourself a temporary e-mail account and tell them what waste bin on the common to leave it at, and at what time.
Sadly, yes they do. Not exactly that many people do -- say, one in a hundred thousand -- but then millions of these scams are sent out so only one or two need to fall for it for the scam to be profitable for the criminals.
Question Author
Donny, I need a coat of many colours, sorry.
Question Author
OG, I am not putting my hand in a waste bin! Not for all the tea in China.

I'll send Mr T to get it.
There's Not any chance of winning in a lottery, unless you buy a ticket.

The text you have received is a scam and I think you knew that but wanted to let us know about it. Good to make folk aware of such.
