Coming home from Abergavenny market this afternoon, we passed a dead animal on the side of the road. It was largish, about 2.5 - 3 foot, it had reddish brown fur, black face and a very pointed black snout. Sure it wasn't a dog. Any ideas folks?

I'm with muntjac - spreading everywhere the little blighters.
Ann's pic shows a female, the males have short antlers and extended canine 'tusks'.
The poor little dead thing is now up in animal Heaven smiling down and saying: "I have no idea who you lot are; however, I've had my fifteen minutes of fame and a lot more."
