Following on from the 'Oh Gawd' thread which mentioned Jethro Tull, there are bands that simnply don;t resonate, you ever understand why people like them, and you really can't understand their appeal, and you certainly would never buy one of their albums. Here is my list, off the top of my head -

1. Jethro Tull
2. Blur
3. Rush
4. Frank Sinatra
5. Neil Diamond
6. Florence And The Machine
7. Radiohead
8. Paul Weller
9. Elbow
10. The Smiths

Re. the Jamiroquai naysayers, remember, he is just filling the gap until Stevie Wonder makes another album - if you can't have the real thing you can have a posing whiney thug wannabe in the meantime!
Don't sit on the fence andy!

LOL Sipowicz!

I'm a music critic - my opinion is vital, valuable and correct, in equal measure!!
Have you done your Tom Petty interview yet? If so, how did it go?
Most Bands - musicians have at least one redeeming song about them. We are all children of our generation.

I think, for instance, Coldplay are now a monotone, by the numbers band but I have there first 3 albums??

Florence and the Machine liked them when I first heard them but shes a one album girl and it is just boring now.

I like diversity, but if you don't like who I like, who am I to argue. Taste is taste and never the twain shall meet, thankfully.

But Ray Davies is a musical genius :-)
How can peple not like U2....brilliant.

Don't like:
The Pogues
Happy Mondays
Jethro Tull
Frank Sinatra
Neil Diamond
Neil Sedaka
Dido
The Smiths

can't think at the minute!
But Ray Davies is a musical genius :-) ......very very true

No only bands - but solos too.

Olly Murs, Will Young - oh my God, the flesh creeps.

And where exactly is the location of Bruce Springsteen's BARN in America!
HaHa Barn I had to think a bit then.

Hes a singer with so many layers have you ever read the lyrics to that? Its not what you think. Though he is someone who, in my opinion, doesn't rate the reputation he has
Oasis
Don't like the Beatles, Rolling Stones etc

Liked the Bay City Rollers when I was but a girl.

I like choirs - Only Men Aloud and Welsh choirs
I hate these bands entire back catalogue;

The Lighthouse Family, Big Country, The Levellers and Roxette

There are probably plenty more I've forgotten about.
