does anyone know what the small shaped spaces are for ? just bought a six month old automatic and am puzzled by them. they're the ones just behind the gear stick, underneath the electric socket.

Just looked at my daughters outside I reckon the slots on the left are for coins/ tokens and the one on the right for swipecard / parking ticket.

thanks, very kind of you to take the trouble. i did wonder about the coin slots but a coin is too fat and i didn't think they'd bother making one for anything less. and i guess the other one could be for a card, although there's a specific place for one, along with a torch and pen inside the glove compartment flip down door.
given the lack of anything else i can think of though, i guess you're right. thanks very much :)

think you could be right roaldo. a coin is 3.15mm thick whereas a euro coin is only 2.20mm thick, but is larger in diameter. bit daft making the slots for euro coins in a car for the british market though. at least if they made them big enough for a coin, the euro would fit in too.
