Here is a Vauxhall parts supplier.

However, you will probably need a diagnostic computer check to confirm where the fault is.

On my 1.6 Astra (53 plate) we had an intermittent loss of a cylinder, with the emissions light coming up on the dashboard.
The diagnostic check showed a fault with the coil pack. This sits above the spark plugs, and connects directly on without the use of old style plug leads.

It was this one, which might be the same for you.

Sorry, the links haven't gone red, so you will need to copy and paste, unless this works now.

Go into ' under bonnet', select 'Meriva' and 'Ignition coil packs'
First check plug, then lead, then coil pack.
Hi, take off the coil pack & check each connecting lead that tops the plugs, also as said, check plugs, if old replace.

Thanks for your responses guys- If I find a dodgy single lead can I replace that particular one only or do I have to purchase a set of four?
a coil pack does not have a single lead,
you would have to buy a complete unit (set of four)
try a breakers or ebay about 40+
search ebay for *meriva coil pack*
Aaaah! About six months after I 'cured' it by changing the coil pack (and previously the spark plugs) my 1.6 53 reg Astra has just done it again!

Either something else in the car is knackering the coil pack, or I have the same fault on the new one.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

I have NGK spark plugs and someone who 'knows' Vauxhalls once said that some of them don't like NGKs. I will try to get some Bosch ones, as originally fitted by Vauxhall..

Alternatively could the five and a half year old battery be near the end of it's life, pumping out a reduced voltage and upsetting the electrics?
