might be wrong, but i though they were the same - two wheeled vehicle. Just depends on engine size afaik.
the provisionals are the same. The difference is when you do your CBT. If you do it on a moped you will be restricted to a moped, if you do it on a 125 you can ride both (with L plates of course)
