Im want to change from my 1.8 Mazda 323 to a car with a smaller engine and have been looking at 1.2 and 1.4 Renault Clio's. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences of Clio's as Ive never owned a Renault before and would like to know how reliable they are. Thanks in advance x

hi, i actually owned a 1.5 DCi (diesel) clio and it was great, it never let me down once and for economical purposes it's also great i used to get 500 miles for 30 pound

the newer clios are prone to misfires and can cost a bit to repair the older ones are not bad if bn looked after but its finding one!! how bout puntos or corsas again cheap little cars to run and repair hope that helps

I've got a 1.2 Clio from 2000 and it's great. I think I've missed out on the probs of the new version and I've never had any probs. Reliable little thing. I've only ever had Renaults and all the ones I've had has never given me any probs. I find Renaults to be very reliable and good runners. With having a 1.2 car tax is also really cheap.
