Post code is a big factor.

I would tell them to go down the road.

premiums are going up, but not that much. Get on the phone/online

Cancel the insurance and buy a new annual policy from someone not trying to rip you off.

Something similar happened to me many years ago on moving address – I knew they were just ripping me off; when I entered the new post code Vs my old post code on comparison websites, the new one was cheaper (all other things being equal).

Well first have a go on the comparison sites but post codes can make a huge difference.

^ Yes they can but I doubt 1.5 mile down the road. 380 to 2000? They will use any excuse to up the charges. Tell them to.........

postcodes are a factor, though not usually for a 500%-odd rise unless you've moved across the border from Rusticshire to Helltown. Sometimes they just don't want your custom and  will try to deter you with ludicrous prices.

Has something else changed? For example have you had any claims in the current year?

Mine has doubled from, roughly 400 to 800mwith no change of address or claims.  Get a comparison and ring them, mine was then lowered by £50. LV are pretty fair I must say.
