Talking to a bloke in the shop earlier and he said town was rammed packed. He went to B&M's and then to the butchers and it took 3 hours...

And this is why I don't do xmas!!
same in Edinburgh..zillions of tourists as well as christmas
I've been in that car park - it's a nightmare when the road outside is busy because it all feeds into the city centre one-way system.

I'd give up and go and have a pint - well more likely a coffee - until the crowds disperse.

I've been hearing how bad it is in Northampton today, Ummmm.......but two hours in a car park would drive me nuts.....

I've bought locally and easily.......all ready and relaxing now.....x
It's much worse since they demolished the bus station.

I haven't been in that car park since I dropped my car keys down a drain on the way out as I paid..........still didn't take two hours.....and I met many helpful gentlemen......☺
Radio Leeds reports that it is taking 1½ hours to get out of the White Rose Centre, near Leeds.
Question Author
Ahhh....if course......I'd forgotten that, Ummmm.x
Greyfriars was an eyesore but it functioned. The new one looks nice but doesn't function.
Gness, I work in town, the traffic has been horrendous for weeks.

So it's the same in lots of places, Minty and Bookbinder......I couldn't do that.....unless I had my knitting with me.....

So I gather, Ummmm.....not the improvement it was meant to be then?
Not at all. On the rare occasions I get a bus I get off at Abington Square (if I get a bus I'm being really lazy)

The Drapery is now hard work as some buses have to stop there which makes it hard for shoppers trying to cross the road.

The should have rebuilt greyfriars where it was. It makes much more sense as it's linked to the Grosvenor.
Question Author
I was surprised that they didn't build on the Greyfriar's site......but didn't think it would be as bad as I'm hearing..x
This is spell binding ;-)

To join in the sooze-fest, I've just heard that the motorway is blocked near Meadowhall. It'll be hell down there. BTW, it's a place I've never set foot in.
