The power steering on my car failed recently. The Hyndai dealer replaced some software free of charge. Today Saturday after driving for 10 miles since the repair, the power steering failed again. I stop the engine, restart and all is working ok for another 10 miles or so. This continued until I had reached my destination. The car was then parked for two hours; I drove home (15miles) and there was no problem with the power steering. The car has 55,000 miles on the clock and is well out of warranty.

Can anybody advise?

Can only suggest paying the dealer to sort it properly.
When the steering failed on mine it was because a bolt fell out of the steering column !
