and then if you want to part-exchange it at a dealer, take the part-exchange price shown in Parkers (or Glass's or CAP) and knock about another 30-40% off, because that is what these thieves will offer.

Parkers, CAP and Glass's really aren't worth the paper they are written on.

ding dong is quite right, the guides arent worth the paper they are written on !.

Best to go on www.autotrader.co.uk if its a popular car, you should find plenty similar so compare age, milage, condition etc and try to work out a price from that.

I buy/sell cars for a living, and I would say never ever look at Parkers, I think they pull figures out of the sky...
