Mr Miliband thought there was "no-one better" for "bashing heads together", a source said.

Yep, desperate.
I was gobsmacked when I read this. I thought we'd got rid of the old Buffoon. This ism hen lake who has flown all over the world in jets to lecture people on Climate Change, called on an RAF Plane to take him to the switching on of Blackpool Illuminations, got on a train after a Union Lecture then out at the nzt stop to get into his chauffeur driven gas guzzling Jag. I could go on. I think he should stick to guzzling curries ( on second thoughts that might create another hole in the ozone)
AB Auntie should move this to the Jokes section
I don't see it that way.

I liked JP......from ferry steward to deputy Prime Minister.....surely must be taken seriously plus he is likely to add a bit of "spice" into a contest full of rather "grey characters."

Also the Tories have now taken a lead in the Polls.

No, i rather like the idea.
Sqad, I liked Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne from his days a Newcastle to his days at Boston United. I wouldn't want him back in the England team tho.
OK...Zac.......we clearly disagree.

P.S Prescott, still has a brain.........Gazza..???
On reflection, if he's just the for 'head bashing' he could do no better than to sort out Milliband's inner circle. Just as insular and out of toich as he is.

Has Prescott had a transplant Sqad?
Poor, bungling Ed Miliband. He lurches from one disaster to the next. He’s his own worst enemy.
I'm with Sqad here. Prescott always scares the right-wingers and for that reason alone, I would welcome his inout over the next few weeks.

By the way Sqad, YouGov would differ as to your point of the Tories being ahead :::

But still all to play for, I will agree !
Mikey, what on earth makes you think he scares the right wingers? I think most view him as a buffoon.
So do I. As for being DPM (Oooh DPM, take me, take me) springs to mind he must have got the job through default by being able to keep Bliar and Gordy apart. I suppose he might provide some entertainment among non Labour supporters!

I notice Balls is in the firing line at the moment because of recent gaffs. They say if he stays after the election it will be another Blair/ Brown Scenario
I await the egging.....oh how the train is slowly crashing....reports of an Ed and Ed clash too over how to fund uni-fee cuts.
I pretty sure the right wingers will be quietly rubbing their hands in glee at this further Milliband mess.
The North will still vote Labour.
What, all of us?
TTG. I was up North recently visiting my home town and post people I spoke to were either voting UKIP or Conservative. How can you make a sweeping statement like that! Northern people do have a brain.
The wisdom and experience of elder statesmen shouldn't be lightly discarded.
Except those who intend to vote UKIP.
Jenny Murray liked him on Broadcasting House this morning. Just thought I would mention it !
