Good advice, TWR. I'd also add try to avoid making the journey if it's a long one or is in an area badly affected by weather

all that is usually fine, but on the news yesterday they were saying that cars were getting stuck behind others in terrible snow drifts and passengers had to be rescued so most of these items would have been useless in these circumstances. Dont go out just to see how bad the snow is. If you dont need to travel, then dont
